Background:
Iruma comes from an everyday, modern Japan... where aliens exist. Not only that, an alien has essentially given a random high school boy the ability to unknowingly change the world, according to what is considered "normal".

Iruma fits into this as the secret agent assigned to monitor this boy and ensure he doesn't change the world too much. This is more difficult for him than he expects, mostly by virtue of him being raised in a sheltered environment with no friends. In fact, the reason he's a secret agent is entirely to impress his perfectionist father - the Prime Minister of Japan. Still, he has a job to do, a new friend to protect, and is just fundamentally a good person. So he tries his best.
